Artist's Comments

After the success of [link] I wanted to make a new "sculpture". And we used "Soletti" (and a few of the cheaper nameless equivalent). Basically thin rods of lye roll with salt.

My brother ~Turlok and I worked about 4-5 hours thogether on this one.

We used about 6 packages of 300g each. There are surely over 1000 of rods in this building.
The tower is about 70-80 cm high in the pictures. (This isn't the final height though since after the photos, we tried how high we could go. The end height was 1,11 meters and it is still standing as I write this. I'll probably upload a "making of" in scraps with the final size.)

EDIT: I added the "Making of" here --> [link] and changed the image to single shot. The double pic didn't look so good and now there enough pictures of it anyway ;p.

very cool. Did you glue them or are they just laid on top of each other?
:iconfirretayl:
There was no glue involved. All are just lying on each other. It can (and will) still be eaten.

hmmm yummey!
that's the most original idea ever xD I can't believe it's still standing, wouldn't be the case if it was me who built it ;p

Yes, it was pretty tricky... Since many of the rods aren't even shaped... that's why the whole thing is totally crooked (you can see it better on some of the other photos I took.)

:O_o: One is surprised that you didn't munch on the building blocks (er, sticks) for your tower. That is certainly one of the most amazing structures I've ever seen made of food :D

If you don't know what it means, then it most likely doesn't apply to you.
